Our Vision

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Free Period Pantry's mission is to spread the period pantry movement by partnering with organizations and individuals to establish pantries and connect locations across communities, creating a network for menstrual product access.

We're Ariyanna Ghala and Ramsey Warner, and the high prices of period products inspired us to build the first Period Pantry. We wanted to ensure those in need did not have to experience period poverty and the physical discomfort, health implications, and educational obstacles that come with the issue.

How it Works

Period Pantries are replenished by contributions from local community members, providing pads, tampons, and other essential menstrual products. The stocking process is straightforward and accessible—anyone can make a donation by simply approaching the pantry. Individuals in need can access these supplies at any time, ensuring continuous availability and support.

Why is a Pantry an Innovative Solution to Period Poverty?

1. Sustainability. Pantries run on direct donations, removing an extra logistical burden.

2. Anonymity. An anonymous process protects the privacy and comfort of users.

3. Accessibility. The pantry is available 24/7, allowing people to access products anytime they need.

4. Feasibility. Easy to set up and adaptable: can be placed in public spaces, schools, churches, and other community centers.
